Cream Based Cleansing Bar — Test Run #3
Share
Week 2 + 5 Days Cure Update
We’re still letting this bar do its thing. Cure time is critical for moisture bars it’s what unlocks the full hydration performance. At this stage, the soap is still solidifying, and we’re seeing where it’s strong and where it needs a little more work.
Cure Status
- Bar is firming but hasn’t fully finished solidifying
- Structure: still stable, no cracking or weird texture
- Cure time is key for maximizing skin hydration
Lather & Wash
The bar continues to perform well: creamy, dense lather that glides smoothly across skin. Cleansing is close and effective.
- Lather: Cream-forward, smooth
- Cleansing: Gentle, no tightness
- Early-stage moisturizing: present, but still developing
Skin Feel & Moisture Check
Here’s where the bar is showing signs it’s not fully finished yet:
- Immediate post-wash: Skin feels soft and smooth, no tightness
- Five minutes post-shower: Skin still comfortable, not ashy
- One hour out of the shower: Noticing a small dry patch on the legs
This tells us the moisturizing component is not fully unlocked yet the bar cleans well and protects skin in the short-term, but full hydration still needs cure time.
Takeaway
This bar is doing its job, just not maxed out yet.
- Cleans ✅
- Lathers ✅
- Skin comfort ✅ (mostly)
- Full, long-lasting moisturizing effect ⏳ (still in progress)
“Fully moisturized” for this bar means soft, balanced skin that lasts beyond the immediate post-shower window. Right now, we’re almost there, but we need more time for the bar to hit peak hydration.
